Letterpress Invitations

Although Mike and I are seriously considering doing our own invites, if we somehow by the grace of God, karma, Allah, and my bank account have some extra money in our wedding savings, I would love more than anything to have letterpressed invitations.

This form of relief printing excites the inner graphic designer in me; and for some reason, the people who own letterpresses usually have exquisite taste in art and typography.

I’ve found a couple great letterpress companies just from my random Google searchings; however, many an art school houses a letterpress, and I’m sure there’s an art student or two out there that’d be willing to press your invites for a reduced rate in exchange for portfolio material.

Here are some sites to check out if you’re willing to spend the big bucks:

Bird and Banner
Swayspace
Rifle Paper Co.
Coeur Noir
Publicide Inc.

About Ally

What started as a joke at a White Castle and a prank on a friend, ended with a box of cupcakes with an engagement ring in it. This is the story of our not-so-traditional wedding.
